It’s time to explore your new neighbourhood at the Valley
Summertime in Vaughan, and there’s no better way to enjoy the warmer weather than a brisk walk along Vaughan’s most beautiful trails. And at The Valley — Poetry Living’s new community in the heart of Woodbridge — you’ll be just a few minutes away from five nearby paths, ranging from light neighbourhood strolls to long forested hikes.

Bartley Smith Greenway at Boyd Conservation Park
Distance: 6km
The entrance to Boyd Conservation Park is just north of Islington and Langstaff, a few minutes from The Valley. It’s free if you enter by foot. There is also limited free parking near the entrance, and it’s $8.30 per person to drive-in (less for children and seniors).
The Bartley Smith Greenway trail starts at Boyd Conservation Park and weaves past the Kortright Conservation Centre, ending at the McMichael Art Gallery in Kleinberg. The full hike is six kilometres and takes around an hour and a half to complete.
After the trek, stop for bacon and eggs at Kleinberg Kafé or for a coffee and scone at Balzac’s before beginning the journey back. If you want a shorter hike, there’s a trail entrance just east of Islington and Rutherford (one kilometre shorter), and another one near Islington and Major Mackenzie (four kilometres shorter).
